Le scelte alimentari e le abitudini di vita hanno forti ripercussioni sull’ambiente che ci circonda: la scelta di prodotti locali, stagionali e a filiera corta sono sicuramente da preferire.
Consumo etico di frutta e verdura. L’OMS, nelle linee guida, raccomanda di assumerne 5 porzioni al giorno; ma una nuova ricerca dell’University College di Londra sostiene che sono necessarie almeno 7 porzioni al giorno.
Consumare in modo etico prevede innanzitutto il rispetto di alcune regole che riguardano la riduzione dell’inquinamento e delle emissioni di anidride carbonica e il miglioramento della qualità della vita, in termini di salute fisica e risparmio economico.
Nella scelta di tali alimenti sarà, quindi, necessario privilegiare: frutta e verdura a “km 0”, di stagione e prodotta in condizioni naturali (evitate gli ortaggi prodotti nelle serre riscaldate).
Se non avete idea di quale sia la frutta e verdura in ogni stagione, non vi preoccupate: esiste un ottimo calendario interattivo che potrete consultare in ogni momento.
Acquistando prodotti ortofrutticoli di stagione otterrete anche un notevole vantaggio economico (fate la prova al supermercato).
Promuovere uno stile di vita sano anche in vacanza. Durante la stagione estiva è buona norma consumare cibi ricchi di sali minerali, vitamine, acqua e zuccheri (non raffinati).
Per sottolineare l’importanza di consumare frutta e verdura , ripartono in Campania gli appuntamenti settimanali di “ Fruit & Salad on the beach ”.
Una campagna ricca di appuntamenti che associa il piacere del rilassarsi al mare con la cura del benessere fisico, attraverso la distribuzione di frutta e verdura di stagione.
Il punto di forza dell’iniziativa, patrocinata da Terra Orti e Alma Seges (organizzazioni di produttori ortofrutticoli), consiste nel format che unisce alimentazione, didattica e gioco.
Si riparte dalla patria della Dieta Mediterranea. Nella località di Pioppi (comune di Pollica ) si è tenuta questa mattina, presso il Palazzo Vinciprova, la conferenza stampa di presentazione.
In questa piccola perla della costa cilentana risiede il Museo Vivente della Dieta Mediterranea dedicato allo scienziato Angel Keys.
Non è un caso, quindi, la scelta della località per un evento che si impegna a promuovere una sana alimentazione anche in spiaggia.
Inoltre l’iniziativa è in linea con la campagna triennale di promozione e informazione “Nutritevi dei colori della vita”, finanziata dall’Unione europea e dallo Stato italiano, che promuove il consumo di prodotti ortofrutticoli attraverso il principio dei “cinque colori del benessere”.

Novità di quest’anno è la partecipazione del Lazio con la tappa di Terracina.
