Tra le opere in concorso a Spello, in Umbria, anche il documentario di Mellara e Rossi “God Save the Green” che racconta storie di gruppi persone che, attraverso il verde urbano, hanno dato un nuovo senso alla parola comunità, ridefinendo la propria esistenza
Da domani e fino al 2 Marzo, su il sipario per il Festival del Cinema di Spello, giunto alla 3a edizione e che quest’anno si avvale del patrocinio del Ministero dei beni e delle attività culturali e del turismo. Una manifestazione, organizzata dall’Associazione Culturale Aurora della Presidente Donatella Cocchini, che ha da sempre tra gli obiettivi quello di promuovere il territorio umbro, attraverso un evento che, coniugando cultura, arte e turismo, dia ulteriore visibilità alla terra umbra ed attiri l’interesse di visitatori e dei media sia a livello nazionale che internazionale.
Un Festival che quest’anno coinvolgerà Spello ma non solo. La cittadina umbra resta la sede del Festival, con Villa Fidelia, la Sala degli Zuccari, la Biblioteca del Fondo Antico, la Sala Petrucci all’interno del Palazzo comunale e il Teatro Subasio, ma saranno coinvolte altre location per proiezioni o seminari come il Teatro Concordia di Monte Castello di Vibio, il teatro più piccolo del mondo, e i comuni di Perugia, Torgiano, Todi e Marsciano. Sui film in concorso, si è dato rilievo ad opere prime come, “Miele” di Valeria Golino, “Razza bastarda” di Alessandro Gassmann, “La città ideale” di Luigi Locascio, “Via castellana bandiera” di Emma Dante, “La variabile umana” di Bruno Oliviero, “Viaggio Sola” di Maria Sole Tognazzi, “Educazione siberiana” di Gabriele Salvadores e “Una piccola impresa meridionale” di Rocco Papaleo.
La programmazione prevede due documentari in concorso “ L’ultimo pastore” di Marco Bonfanti e “God Save the Green“, di Michele Mellara e Alessandro Rossi. Quest’ultimo è un lavoro che racconta storie di gruppi persone che, attraverso il verde urbano, hanno dato un nuovo senso alla parola comunità ed allo stesso tempo hanno cambiato in meglio il tessuto sociale e urbano in cui vivono. La narrazione sviluppa un mosaico di storie: l’ultimo giardino in uno dei più popolati quartieri di Casablaca (Marocco); coltivazioni idroponiche gestite da un gruppo di donne a Teresina (Brasile); orti comunitari a Berlino (Germania); coltivazioni all’interno di sacchi nella bidonville di Nairobi (Kenya); giardini pensili a Torino e Bologna (Italia). L’affresco di un mondo che attraverso il verde urbano ha ridefinito la propria esistenza.
