Si aprono mondi dispersi nel tempo se, da Perugia, si guida in direzione sud ovest.
Per far visita al capoluogo umbro stavolta la scusa è stata la mostra fotografica di Steve McCurry. Sensational Umbria (in esposizione fino al 5 ottobre 2014). E di sensazionale ha molto. L’artista riesce perfettamente nell’intento di trapiantare il suo sguardo innamorato dell’Umbria negli occhi di chi guarda i suoi scatti.
Da lì un giro in macchina, per caso un cartello interessante con su scritto Strada dell’Olio Dop Umbria, comprensorio dei Colli del lago Trasimeno. Piccola ricerca su Google (a proposito, grazie all’inventore dello smarthphone) e, per vicinanza e attrazione, ecco la prossima meta. Piegaro. Un borghetto poco prima di Città delle Pieve – quest’ultima famosa per lo zafferano ma soprattutto perché è stata la location della fiction Carabinieri. Mi stupisco come non ci sia scritto “Manuela Arcuri e Alessia Marcuzzi sono state qui” – appollaiato sul colle che sovrasta il fiume Nestore. Paesaggio bucolico a dir poco. Piegaro è una cittadina devota alla lavorazione del vetro e quest’arte risale all’epoca medievale, quando i maestri vetrai veneziani la scelsero come laboratorio artigianale, considerandola ideale per la grande presenza di legname e acqua, ingredienti indispensabili per la produzione di vetro. Immersi nel verde, è bello “spiare” le aziende del luogo e verificare se lavorano in sinergia con l’ambiente. Sì, è vero. L’eco-sostenibilità è il nostro pallino. E qui a Piegaro, o più precisamente a Pietrafitta di Piegaro, lode a Il Piccolo Noce. Un olandese, Klaas, e un’italiana, Milena, hanno fatto di questo casolare della campagna umbra l’essenza dell’accoglienza, di un’accoglienza sostenibile. «La nostra struttura si trova in un comune che s’impegna molto per la raccolta differenziata – racconta Milena – e ne informiamo tutti i nostri ospiti. Stiamo molto attenti che queste buone pratiche vengano rispettate e chiediamo di utilizzare con parsimonia l’acqua. Nel caso gli ospiti vogliano mangiare in giardino provvediamo a far trovare loro un grande contenitore per i rifiuti. Anche perché alcuni rifiuti organici vengono separati e portati a un’azienda agricola vicina che li riutilizza». E continua. «La nostra filosofia di accoglienza è quella di far sentire l’ospite “a casa”. Cerchiamo di assecondare le sue richieste, anche quelle non strettamente necessarie, e concediamo delle piccole “coccole” sempre nell’ottica di far conoscere il territorio e farlo ricordare una volta partiti».
E a proposito di territorio, la patronesse Milena consiglia anche qualche itinerario interessante della zona. «Proprio per la nostra appartenenza al Comune di Piegaro, molto spesso io e Klaas consigliamo una visita al Museo del vetro. E poi, secondo i periodi di permanenza, le manifestazioni che si organizzano per farne conoscere la lavorazione. Ci sta anche una visita al Duomo di Orvieto, le cui vetrate sono state realizzate dai Maestri Vetrai piegaresi. Tra gli itinerari naturalistici segnaliamo l’Oasi La Valle di San Savino, a volte organizziamo anche iniziative esclusive per i nostri ospiti. Gli itinerari storici e culturali sono diversi, vanno dal Perugino alle Residenze dei Della Corgna (in quanto una di esse è molto vicino alla nostra struttura), dall’etrusca Cattedrale di San Lorenzo a Perugia all’Ipogeo Volumni a Ponte San Giovanni. In ogni caso al momento dell’arrivo gli ospiti, oltre alle informazioni generali sul territorio e sulla Regione, trovano una selezione delle più importanti manifestazioni che si svolgono nelle immediate vicinanze». Sembra proprio essere un’accoglienza a 360 gradi quella de Il Piccolo Noce. Un’accoglienza autenticamente umbra.
